Process of Trading with Brazil


Like I said, exporting goods from India to Brazil is a complex situation but it is very much possible. Following are the steps that you can go through for knowing the process of doing export-import business with Brazil:
  • ·         First and foremost, you need to verify that your goods can legally be exported to Brazil.
  • ·         Before shipment, you need to send a Performa invoice to the Brazilian importer.
  • ·     Now the Brazilian importer has to request a Import License (LI) from Integrated Foreign Trade System.
  • ·      You are required to send the mandatory documents such as certificate of origin, shipping information, commercial invoice and other Documents, if required.
  • ·        You have to pay the import duty and the tax on industrial products.
  • ·      When the commodities will arrive to Brazil, importer has to prepare the Import Declaration (DI).
  • ·      All the documents including DI have to be shown to the Secretariat of Fedral Revenue (SRF).
